"Big Bear Chase, Big Bear Chase ME" is part of the Groovy Hues Fiber "Hurry Up Summer!" 2024 collection. This colorway is inspired by the color of the poncho Chet wears and the colors of the woods when Chet (John Candy) goes looking for his creepy twin nieces in 1988's The Great Outdoors. For me, this movie is the epitome of the struggle between lower-middle and upper-middle class American families in the 1980s and 90s. You always had distant - and not-so-distant relatives/family friends were richer than you and LOVED to show that off, and for some reason, your parents always insisted on going on a joint summer vacation with these insufferable people. It was weird, there was always some bickering by the end, but you made it work well enough to do it again the following year. It's a nostalgic summer vacation kind of movie, and couldn't be left out of this update. 

This colorway will work on its own, but it was designed to give some "POP" to and coordinate with 2 tonal colors from this collection - Look, MOO COWS!, and Griswold's Damn Fine Automobile -  All 3 colors would make a GREAT sweater or a fabulous shawl for fall fiber fairs!

It is recommended you purchase the amount needed to finish your project because no two lots will be the same. Kettle-dyed yarn differs greatly from lot to lot.

• All yarn is photographed in a light box and adjusted as well as possible for white balance. Not all screens will depict color in the same way, and your screen may vary slightly from what you see in-person. 
• As this is hand-dyed, no two skeins will be exactly alike, and therefore may differ slightly from what you see in photographs. When using multiple skeins for a project, alternate skeins between rows to achieve an overall blended effect.
• Product care: Although this is superwash wool, hand-washing in cold water with baby shampoo or extremely gentle wool wash is always recommended and preferred for extending the life of your project. Do not soak for long periods of time unless garment is unusually soiled. You may see some color release in the first wash. This does not affect the colorfastness of the yarn, nor is it a dyer error. It is recommended when working with different colors for one project, to snip a small amount from each, and wash together to ensure there is no bleeding into one another. Roll finished garment in a clean towel and lay flat to dry. Blocking pins on foam squares is recommended to keep the desired shape.
